Just like the recipe
For the cakes
I try to perfect,
I tried working us
Our relationship too.
Only problem was
Every time I tasted the cake
’twas sweet.
Every time I tasted us
’twas only bitter.
Yet, anything and everything takes work.
My recipes send me back to revise
Quantities of every ingredient.
How could I re-tweak us?
When you wanted perfection
In the very first go?
All I know is—
We would have baked well.
Brown and white,
That’s a nice caramel.
And everyone knows
Caramel is the best flavor,
Even though it gives trouble
When put in the oven!
